Thanks John, alcohol is out -> the sodium hydroxide then hydochloric acid way is still interesting... May try this when if I manage to create some time to play with resinotype later. I now have a lump of Lamp Black + Rosin + Alcohol mixed, believe it or not, at about the same time as you suggested using Alcohol, yesterday. It reminds me of when I tried Bromoil some years ago. That Bromoil ink, which I still have, still resembles chewing gum in texture and I really do not know what to do with it.
