Bad news then... On the other hand, I used Daler-Rowney's System3 acrylic gesso for making gum prints. But only after coating further (the gessoed aluminum sheet) with calcium carbonate / gelatin mixture. It worked well. (Thanks to Keith for the tip!) Casein seems to stick on plain glass very well, it dissolves easily too. But I haven't tried to expose and harden it yet. That would be the real test - since we need a hardened layer that manages to stay on glass during development.
