i recently looked through the b&s forum archives to find the product
rich is using. it's called "gac100" from golden.
it should be something similar to the gamblin pva size. i think i
remember reading that he got somewhat mixed results with it, but still
uses it. another product not available in europe, btw.
for me, i could never get any size based on acrylic to work with gum -
fish eyes, horrible coating and flaking. but i haven't tried the medium
from golden. only gessos and "acrylic medium 1: glossy" from lascaux.

I believe Dick Sullivan has been using this product to size paper for carbon
transfers. When I visited him at the Carbon Works in August '08 he showed me
samples of carbon transfer prints made on Lenox paper that was sized with
Golden Acrylic Medium.
The product obviously worked but looked slightly dull for a carbon transfer,
however based on Marek's experimentation with the different dilutions of
Gamblin PVA perhaps a more optimum dilution could be determined for the
Golden product.
