A few months ago I tried using Seal Fusion 4000 in this way.
Fusion 4000 is an 'archival' drymount tissue which activates
at a fairly low temperature and is supposed to be
releasable.  I tried mounting paper to pieces of plastic
window material (Lucite, I think).  My attempts were not
successful in that I couldn't get the tissue to stick very
well to the plastic, and I think there were wrinkling
problems, too.

I'm still interested and would be glad to hear of anyone
else's experiences.
