I think that there are lots of basic formulas out there, and many use
about the same things. If you are making Platinum Prints for example, yes
there will be some changes, but overall, not too many big differences.
Everyone's prints will have a similar look to them and any differences in
tone will come from minor changes, coating, development and exposure.
You can certainly tweak this and that at great length, but to what end?
You might have a problem that is not related to chemicals as much as it
is related to procedures. I never put anyone down for experimenting -
that's half the fun. It is just a matter of how much effort you want to
devote to this hobby.
