Dear Cactus and all who are interested,

I could say that the blue tones on my dags are a secret process ;-)
but I won't even though that would make it more mysterious.
Actally, when a Dag is slightly overexposed, you get the blue tone.
I did that on purpose, knowing ahead of time what would happen if
I could slightly overexpose the sky and not the gargoyle. It worked
to my satisfaction. In the actually daguerreotype you see a sort of
3-D effect. I don't know if anyone else has done this on purpose.
Its tricky, but then, dag exposures are all tricky.

A giclee' print is nothing more than a fancy way to say, "Ink jet
print." "Giclee'" in french translates as "squirt." I have found that
using french is often done to make things appear more artsy. ;-)
For example, "E. d'A." on a print stands for "Epreuve d'Artist" or
"artist's proof." Tres chic, n'est pas?

Thanks for your kind comments about my work. To paraphrase Salieri,
I like them myself.

Best alternative process wishes,
Bob Schramm
