Autotype is generally very helpful (In my experience as a relative gravure
newbie). Just drop them an email that your interested in G35 and someone
will usually contact you very quickly with pricing and shipping info.

So happy that it's still available.

I'm surprised to read that carbon tissue is difficult to get in the
UK. I'm looking at the autotype.com website, choosing europe, and
seeing that the headquarters are in Wantage, Oxfordshire, UK. If
I go to "fast find", and choose "G35" from the product list, I get
access to the product sheet pdf. So it seems it would be easy to
get (though you would be faced with getting a full roll, like everyone
else).

It's impressive that you were able to make a plate based on the KoL
description. But there is a newer book out, Morrish and MacCallum,
Copper Plate Photogravure: Demystifying the Process, that does really
quite a good job of presenting the process. I recommend it to my
students because, while my handouts are good and appropriate, they're
no substitute for an entire book on the subject.
