Greg,

Where in Alaska? Years ago my brother lived in Juneau...I spent 6 weeks
visiting him... he lived outside town in a trailor.... it rained really hard
nearly all six weeks..... I felt like I was living inside a metal drum with
someone pounding on it...

I also hear some clients don't want to pay as much because it is digital....
no film, etc....

I spent an afternoon talking with a guy last week that is trying to stay in
photography and make a living at it... the need for a transition to digital has
been difficult for him.

I would agree on film... I love TMax 100, which I shoot in 35 mm.... I scan
it at 8000 ppi and it is beautiful on the monitor.... But then digital has it's
advantages too.... I do love that Polaroid back for my HD1.

Sometimes I think the cameras that aren't true 16 bit have more trouble with
the highlights.

I actually like it all....film...digital...all great tools. I'm easy.

Hope it all goes well there in Alaska.

Best Wishes,
Mark Nelson
