No no--if it prints well with a number two filter *on VC* then you
should be in great shape for platinum. That same negative will print
much too contrasty on graded--non-VC--paper because the stain won't
control the highlights as it does on VC. Try a Pt or zia and see what happens.

But---how are you putting 4x5 films into a Nikor tank? I'm not aware of
any sheet film adapters/reels for this. Or did I misunderstand and you
are using roll film? That changes the whole picture since you'll
probably be making enlarged negatives before attempting to print in Pt.
That sidesteps the whole dual-purpose effect of pyro.
