According to Bob Schramm's article in Post-Factory #4 titled, "How an Old
Alternate-Process Printer from a Small Town in West Virginia Learned to
Make a Daguerreotype," the problem with the Becquerel version of
daguerreotype is that it's much slower.

But Bob shows in extended description and photos how he set up fume hood,
fuming box, mercury pot, controls, etc. for safe dag at home. Of course
Bob is an exemplar of both theory and hand-toolery, but many folks have
made similarly safe workshops. The process is, if not quite a CRAZE, in
full revival.

I will shortly do a rundown on Post-Factory #5, just mailed, with info on
how to get it as "free introductory" copy for cost of the postage. But
whoever is interested in the dag article can have #4 similarly. If you're
in US or Canada send $1.50 US (check, stamps, or nicely wrapped money).
