I can get a maximum UV printing density of about 3.2 with the Epson
2000P,printing on Pictorico. I print with the media set to glossy
paper, in color mode, and with the printing controls set to
automatic. The resulting negative is rather neutral in tone, with a
hint of blue tone. Since the minimum density of Pictorico is about
0.16 this gives me the potential for a density range of well over
3.0, much more than I need for palladium printing, which for me is
about a maximum of 1.6 - 1.8.

If you are printing on medium smooth surface art papers (Fabriano
Artistico, Stonhenge, Lenox, etc.) with palladium I do not believe
you will not see any advantage in terms of detail, resolution and
overall print quality with a silver halide negative over an inkjet
negative on Pictorico. This assumes that you have a digital file that
will allow you to print with a resolution of about 360dpi at the
print size. If on the other hand you are printing on a very smooth
surface such as vellum you may get slightly better quality with a
traditional silver negative.
