But when I corresponded with a Russian photographer, and our respective automatic translators were translating "storm press" for a printing process, I wrote him asking what a process that was. I wrote him that the translation was failing because of "storm" was meaning an atmospheric eventt like... etc., asking for a more meaningful word. So he replied (translating) "it is storm-press"! I still don't know what it is...But while this might be funny, software translation can still be useful in many cases, for example, just to have a sense/guess of what the other speaker is talking about, and if we know the context, the translation can be useful.
